Demi Lovato: 'I used to throw up blood'
Demi Lovato has admitted that at the height of her eating disorder, she would make herself vomit until she threw up blood. The actress was released from rehab earlier this year after seeking help with bulimia, bipolar disorder, and self-harm. Talking to People, she opened up about the horrifying details of her illness. "When I was about 15, I was only eating two meals a week, but I wasn't losing any more weight because my body adjusted to that. So I tried new things: laxatives, fasts - nothing was working," said the 18-year-old. "I decided maybe I should start throwing up. At my worst, I was doing it five times a day. I threw up so hard and so much, it was just blood in the toilet." But her world came crashing down in November when she suffered a breakdown and had to pull out of her world tour with the Jonas Brothers. "My eating disorders have ruined my life. I thought I could control it, but I couldn't. I ended up in treatment at the most untimely moment in my life," she explained. Since leaving rehab, she has been making steady progress, but said that it still isn't easy. "It is more difficult now because I don't have people supervising me. That's why I haven't been working," she said. "My goal for every day is to eat three meals, and that's challenging enough. There are days when I feel so overwhelmed, like I can't do it... I'm still learning just to like food... I'm determined to fight this. I've never been more peaceful or happy in my life. What's important is to help others get to this place."...

Teen actress Demi Lovato has revealed she suffers from bipolar disorder. The Disney star opened up about her battle just a week after Catherine Zeta-Jones announced she suffered from the same condition. Lovato, 18, told a US magazine she had 'battled depression from a very young age' but was not diagnosed with bipolar disorder until she underwent treatment for anorexia, bulimia and self-harm. "I never found out until I went into treatment that I was bipolar," she said. "Looking back it makes sense. There were times when I was so manic, I was writing seven songs in one night and I'd be up until 5.30 in the morning. "I feel like I am in control now where my whole life I wasn't in control." Lovato, who used to date Joe Jonas, entered a rehab facility in November last year and spent three months receiving treatment for eating disorders and self-harm. Her bipolar disorder diagnosis could explain why she was so quick to Tweet her support to Zeta-Jones when the actress announced she had received treatment for the same condition. Lovato said she had gone through the 'darkest time' in her life but wanted to use the experience to 'help others'. She has also opened up about her battle with anorexia, bulimia and revealed how she would cut herself with blades. Speaking to a US television show, the Camp Rock star said her problems stemmed from being bullied about her weight as a child. "I literally didn't know why they were being so mean," she said. "I was bullied for being fat." She added that she was now 'taking one day at a time'....

The 18-year-old actress voluntarily entered rehab at the end of last year for help with 'emotional and other issues' and has since admitted that it was to get help with an eating disorder that spanned more than a decade. Talking to ABC show 20/20, she told how school yard bullying led to her 'compulsively overeating' when she was just eight-years old, and by 11, she was cutting herself. She explained, "It was a way of expressing my own shame, of myself, on my own body. I was matching the inside to the outside. "There were some times where my emotions were just so built up I didn't know what to do. The only way that I could get instant gratification was through an immediate release on myself." She added that she wants to share her story in a bid to help teenage girls who may be going through the same things. "The real reason why I'm sitting down with you is to open up the eyes of so many young girls, that it doesn't have to be this way," she said....

Demi Lovato has praised Catherine Zeta-Jones for her 'bravery' for seeking treatment for bipolar disorder. The Disney star recently underwent a spell in rehab for an eating disorder. She Tweeted her support for the Welsh actress who entered rehab for five days to seek treatment for the mental illness that sees sufferers experience extreme emotional highs and lows. Lovato wrote, "I don't know Catherine Zeta-Jones personally but what she has decided to do it SO brave. And SO difficult but worth it... I'm proud of her." The 18-year-old also revealed that she suffered a 'nervous breakdown' before her family managed to persuade her to seek help last Autumn. She told Seventeen magazine, "I was really bad off. My parents and my manager pulled me aside and said, 'You need to get some help.' It was an intervention. I wanted freedom from the inner demons. I wanted to start my life over."...

17: What’s your message to teenage girls?
Demi Lovato: If you are going through that dark period, go to your family and closest friends. Don’t put yourself in danger. It’s very crucial that you get your feelings out — but don’t ever inflict harm on your own body because your body is so sacred. I wish I could tell every young girl with an eating disorder, or who has harmed herself in any way, that she’s worthy of life and that her life has meaning. You can overcome and get through anything.
17: Have there been times recently when you feel like it could be so tempting to go back to your old dangerous habits, like eating disorders?
DL: Yes, there have been times when I definitely have been tempted to get rid of my dinner. But I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it’s a life-long disease. I don’t think there’s going to be a day when I don’t think about food or my body, but I’m living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it.
17: How do you keep yourself in a safe place?
DL: I don’t let anyone’s insecurities, emotions, or opinions bother me. I know that if I am happy, that’s all that matters to me. And it’s okay to be selfish like that sometimes, when it comes to your well-being. Do what makes you happy, and don’t care what others think.
17:How do you define your personality now that you’re out of treatment?
DL: I don’t really define it by anything. I live my life every day, and if I feel like wearing combat boots one day and shoes the next, I will. I allow myself a lot of freedom and I’m very peaceful now. I have come to realize that just making yourself happy is most important. Never be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy. That’s my life motto.

Joe Jonas’ Inspirations for His Solo Music
Joe Jonas mengakui bahwa ia sedang mengerjakan album baru yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh musik dansa. The Jonas Brothers tengah sangat bersemangat tentang solo baru keluar nya proyek band-nya. Penyanyi itu telah bekerja pada solo album ini sejak lama, sebelum sang vokalis Jonas Brothers 'membuat klaim ini agar musiknya telah terinspirasi oleh musisi elektro Eropa seperti Daftpunk dan Frankmusik.
"Saya suka musik mereka. Ada seseorang yang disebut Frankmusik yang memilih keluar dari sebagian besar saluran musik Inggris. Lalu ada banyak DJ yang datang ke Eropa dan sekarang mereka melakukan hal-hal keren, "kata Joe.
"Saya hanya mendengarkan beberapa lagu yang bisa membuat tarian seseorang, seperti musik elektro dasar. Ternyata banyak hal yang luar biasa bisa Anda buat menggunakan komputer, "jelasnya, seperti dikutip oleh Digitalspy.com, Kamis (20/01/2011).
